On Friday we were down at the council in front of the Licensing Board telling them all about our intentions to open an online shop.
We were able to present our ideas on how things would run and had a deep and meaningful conversation on the exciting intricacies of the Licensing Law in Scotland (maybe a blog post for another time?). Things ran as smoothly as we hoped and once the paperwork is through in a week or so we can officially open our online shop! We will stock our regular beers as well as limited run, experimental batches and a six pack of 330ml bottles in a wooden, hand crafted carrying case (prototype shown above).
News on the official launch date of the shop can be found over on our Facebook @wasteddegrees.
In the mean time, you can catch us at farmers markets in Perthshire and in Leith over the next few months. For exact dates and times please check the previous blog post where we have just added Crieff into our schedule.
Also in the pipeline we will have our hands full with harvesting locally grown wet hops (Challenger, Pheonix, Earlybird and North Downs to be specific) to produce a variety of beers using solely Perthshire ingredients. Check back toward the end of September for launch dates of those.
